I love activities that involve problem-solving and teamwork. I think it's important that learning materials cater to a variety of learning styles and get kids moving, using their hands to make things, and appeal to them visually. I also try to make my teaching have real-world applications whenever possible.

This hands-on craft is a great way for children to show what they know about Bessie Coleman, the first African American woman to gain an international pilot’s license. Ramadan lanterns are so beautiful and a special symbol of Ramadan, so this hands-on craft is a great way for students to show what they know about Ramadan. Making a craft is fun, it’s engaging, and it makes learning about special days and months more memorable. Have some fun this Halloween with this hands-on 3D haunted house model. Your students will love making their own haunted house, adding their own details to make the house unique. This pack includes options for a single-level house made up of three rooms and a roof, or a two level house which has six rooms. The model is put together by making rooms and gluing them together, so students could make just one or two rooms, or they could make all six. The haunted house can be made using paper or light card. White glue is the easiest to work with for this project, and tape can be used if needed. What’s included? This interactive notebook set is all about making learning fun and engaging while giving opportunities to learn and demonstrate understanding about the origins and symbols of Anzac Day.
